On Saturday 2nd April 2022 the Mind Matters Ball was held at NEX (Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre). This is the 2nd year the event has run and it was a smashing success!
It’s organiser Lachlan McTackett created the Mind Matters Ball to raise funds for suicide prevention charities RUOK and Lifeline. Having dealt with his own struggles with suicide ideation in the past and realising the great benefit these organisations deliver, he has gone on to help raise thousands of dollars to support these charities. A truely amazing effort and one that will help many in times of need.
This year the Mind Matters Ball raised over $50,000 to be split evenly between RUOK and Lifeline. What an amazing outcome for such a fantastic cause!
The night featured fundraising activities with guest speakers, live music from talented local musicians and so much more!
