FAQ
-
What types of projects do you photograph?
We photograph a wide range of completed projects including new residential builds, commercial developments, renovations, interior fit-outs, hospitality venues, and multi-unit developments. Whether you’re a builder, architect, or designer, we create high-end visual content to showcase your work with impact.
-
Do you offer both interior and exterior architectural photography?
Yes. We capture both the interior and exterior of your project, highlighting architectural form, material detail, layout, and how the space functions. Our photography is designed to support your portfolio, marketing, award submissions, and social media presence.
-
Can you photograph my project during construction?
Absolutely. We offer project progress photography to document builds at key milestones. This is ideal for builders, developers, and construction companies wanting to showcase the build process, craftsmanship, or behind-the-scenes work for future case studies or marketing.
-
Do you offer drone photography for builder or architectural projects?
Yes. Aerial photography is perfect for capturing the full scale and context of your project — whether that’s a custom home, a coastal build, or a large commercial site. We’re CASA-accredited and fully insured for all drone operations.
-
Can you help us with award submission photography?
We sure can. We understand the strict requirements of industry awards and ensure your photos meet judging criteria. Our award photography services are ideal for HIA, Master Builders, and architecture awards.
-
How should I prepare the site before the shoot?
Ensure the property is clean, styled (if applicable), and free from clutter, tools, or site materials. If it’s a handover shoot, consider final cleaning and landscaping beforehand. We’re happy to provide a prep checklist in advance to make sure the shoot runs smoothly.
-
Can we combine photography and video in one session?
Yes, we can — but it depends on the scale of the job. Photography and video are two different services, each requiring a different approach. For best results, it’s ideal to separate the two. Depending on your time and budget, this could mean spending an hour or two on each, splitting the day in half, or booking separate days entirely.
-
How long does a typical shoot take?
It depends on the approach. Standard photography is time-efficient and budget-friendly, typically taking 1–2 hours. Premium photography is more deliberate and methodical, focusing on refined compositions, controlled lighting, and detail — and generally requires half a day to a full day to complete.
-
What areas do you service?
We provide architectural and builder photography across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens, and the Central Coast. Travel outside these areas is available on request — just let us know the project location when booking.
-
Can I buyout the copyright?
Yes — you can buy out the copyright to your images, but in most cases, you don’t actually need to. My standard licenses already let you use your images for all your own marketing — forever — including websites, social media, print, and awards.
Buying the copyright is only worth considering if:
You want full control over who else uses the images (though it won’t stop others from booking their own shoot).
You plan to license the images yourself and earn revenue from suppliers or publications.
Your project is sensitive or confidential, like private homes, government work, or prototypes.
Buying out copyright costs significantly more because you’d be purchasing all future value and exclusive rights to the images. For most businesses, a tailored license is all you really need — and it keeps costs far more manageable.
